Assuming that On average it takes 12 years to build a nuclear fission power plant does it oppose that (not) Building new nuclear fission power plants takes too long to help prevent catastrophic climate change?

| This average is calculated based on past construction times, correct? To which degree does this say anything about possible present construction times if nuclear energy were to be promoted more? – Whathecode Jul 28, 2018 11:47 |
| As you stated (https://socratrees.azurewebsites.net/statement/418/on-average-it-takes-12-years-to-build-a-nuclear-fission-power-plant#comment95_418), the actual construction is 7.5 years. I would imagine application, approval, etc. could be sped up if nuclear energy were not portrayed as it is now. – Whathecode Jul 28, 2018 11:55 |
